Policy and politics
Connect doesn't just represent its members' interests in the workplace.  We also work with the government, Parliament, the communications regulator and many other outside bodies to ensure that their voice is heard when vital decisions are taken.

In this section you can find out more about our role in influencing policy and politics, including:

Influencing policy
Connect regularly responds to formal consultations on issues that are important to our members.

Working in Parliament
By maintaining strong links in Westminster and elsewhere in the political arena, Connect is able to stay in touch with developments and inform decision makers about our members' interests.

Political Fund
In order to carry out any work that is political in nature, all trade unions are required by law to maintain a Political Fund, a separate pot of money that is accounted for entirely separately from normal union funds.

Working with other unions
We can often achieve more for our members by working collectively with other unions.  At a national level Connect works with the other UK trade unions at the TUC.
